Her artistic process begins with inspiration from nature’s textures, colors, and organic forms. Jinet’s signature style features layered surfaces, raised textures, and the use of materials such as glass, ceramic, mirror, fabric, and found objects—resulting in fresh, original 2D and 3D works that tell stories of memory, identity, and transformationn addition to her studio practice, Jinet is an active art educator. She teaches mosaic, painting, and mixed media workshops to children, teens, and adults across Los Angeles—sharing her knowledge, techniques, and love for the creative process with her community.

Artist Statement

When I moved to the United States, I never imagined I’d have the chance to own an art studio again. But here it is—my own little creative space, where I get to share and sell the work born from my imagination, experience, and passion.

Drawing and sculpting have always been part of my journey, but painting holds a special place in my heart. Nature is my greatest inspiration. I’m constantly drawn to its colors, forms, and energy. Whether I’m painting landscapes, people, or animals, I aim to capture the essence and spirit of the natural world.

Most of my pieces are rich in texture, created by layering different materials with varying thicknesses and sheens. This tactile quality brings a unique depth to each work and helps translate emotion and movement into something physical and lasting.

Through my art, I try to bring the outside in—to fill any living space with warmth, life, and positive energy. Creating art is not just a process for me, it’s a way of connecting—with nature, with people, and with the deeper parts of myself.
